This is the fourth time in total that the KBO League has surpassed 8 million spectators, following the 2016-2018 seasons.

By club, LG Twins recorded the most with 1,202,637 (average of 16,703), followed by SSG Landers with 1,068,211 (average of 14,836).

All Professional Baseball suffered the humiliation of the national team being eliminated in the first round of the World Baseball Classic (WBC) held just before the opening.

However, from the beginning of the season, LG Twins, Lotte Giants, and KIA Tigers were on the rise and led the box office fever.

In the second half of the year, fierce ranking competition took place and fans’ attention was focused until the last day, successfully attracting the 3rd largest audience ever.

KBO is expecting a ‘big hit’ in attendance in the postseason, which starts on the 19th.
