As in the last installment, we’re quoting a lion’s share of soccer tactics to illustrate what players need to know. The dictionary defines it as “heart to heart, mind to mind”.

Why does soccer need this phrase? Soccer is an 11-player game. Of course, you can describe it as a war on the field of play, where you have to divide up a large field by position, run and jump, combine tactics and skills, and follow the rules.

The goalkeeper is the only one who can use his hands, and no matter how good he is, he can’t do it all by himself in the opponent’s half. If you’re passing, there has to be a receiver. If you kick a long ball, you need someone to receive it, and if you send a cross in from the side, you need someone to receive it and try to score a goal.굿모닝토토

Most teams are organized around players who are good at kicking the ball. If you’re a good kicker, you move when you’re told to move and you come out when you’re told to come out, but if you really want to help your team and win a decisive victory, you need to know the heart and soul of the game.

A lot of players play based on the player with the ball, but the really good players have to read the player with the ball when the player receiving the ball makes eye contact with the player with the ball.

This is what I refer to as a “heart-to-heart” read.

Especially in the middle areas, if you know what the center-forward or wingers are doing, where they’re going to go in certain situations, you’re going to be able to get past the defense and score goals. So the players share a room by position, and they talk a lot, and they talk a lot about individual tactics, like where to send the ball when I do something.

When the players are on the field, they communicate with each other through their eyes. Everything you do is based on that eye contact, and when you get that eye contact, you put the ball in, and when you get that eye contact, you create a goal or a chance.

Take the example of Tottenham’s Son Heung-min and Harry Kane. They were able to read each other’s movements from a distance, which led to a lot of goals and made them the most prolific goal-scoring duo in the Premier League. Kane’s kicking ability can be seen in his ability to accurately place the ball in front of Son’s run, and the video of Kane falling over and still connecting with the ball is fantastic to watch.

Again, it’s important to remember that passing is about the movement of the recipient, not the will of the giver, so it’s a good reminder of the importance of communication between players.
